Replacing Sheathing with Zip Board
The first order of business was to install a new rubber membrane, which acts as a waterproof barrier to protect the underlying structure from water damage then we were able to replace the damaged sheathing. We opted for Zip System sheathing due to its superior moisture resistance and ease of installation. This high-performance engineered wood panel offers a built-in protective barrier against water intrusion, ensuring long-term durability.
Cedar Primed Clapboard
To enhance the exterior aesthetics and durability, we used cedar primed clapboard. Cedar is known for its natural resistance to weather, decay, and insects. The primed clapboards provide a uniform finish and are ready for the final paint application.
Installing Azek Trim
Next, we installed Azek trim. Azek is a high-quality PVC material that is resistant to rot, insects, and water damage. Its durability and aesthetic appeal make it an ideal choice for this project.
Proper Drainage Grading
To address the drainage issues, we installed a new drain and graded the area appropriately to ensure the water flows away from the property.
