When a young Melrose couple welcomed their four-month-old daughter home, they knew it was time to give her a room of her own. The problem? We installed beautiful red oak hardwood flooring wall to wall. Red oak is a classic choice for New England homes. It's durable, warm in tone, and ages gracefully — perfect for a room that needs to hold up to spills, toys, and plenty of foot traffic over the years. Once the boards were down, we sanded the floor smooth and finished it with two coats of clear polyurethane. The result is a rich, glowing surface that brightens the entire room.

Fresh Paint and New Wallpaper

With the floors complete, we turned to the walls. Fresh paint instantly modernized the space, and new wallpaper added personality and charm — the kind of detail that turns a plain room into one you actually want to spend time in.
